Wages are meant to reach your account within 15 days of the muster roll closing. If that has not happened, the delay is usually at one of four stages – and you can find out which.
The four stages
- Measurement – the work is measured after the muster roll closes.
- Wage list – the amounts due are calculated.
- FTO – a Fund Transfer Order is signed and sent.
- Bank credit – the bank or post office credits your account.
Find where it is stuck
Open your job card from the job card list and check the work. Then look up the payment status for your panchayat – our payment status guide explains each code.
Frequent causes
- Inactive bank account – visit the branch and make one transaction.
- Aadhaar not linked to the account, or linked to a different account.
- Name mismatch between bank and job card.
- Funds not yet released by the state.
Complaints
Write to the block programme officer with your job card number and muster roll number. Raise unpaid wages at the Gram Sabha and the social audit, which is held every six months.
