After a muster roll closes, the work is measured, a wage list is prepared and a Fund Transfer Order (FTO) sends the money to your bank or post office account. You can follow each stage online.
Check your payment
- Open the job card list for your panchayat and click your job card number.
- Scroll to the work you did – it shows the days worked and the amount due.
- For the bank stage, open the payment or FTO status report for your panchayat under MIS Report (R8 e-FMS) on the portal Dashboard.
- Compare the credited amount with your bank passbook or SMS.
What the status codes mean
What payment / FTO statuses mean
| Status (as shown) | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Pending for signature / FTO not signed | The FTO (the order to send money) has been created, but the officer has not signed it digitally yet. | Wait a few days. If it takes too long, ask at the block office. |
| Sent to bank / Sent to PFMS | The order has gone to the bank or PFMS – the money is on its way. | It usually reaches your account within a few days. Update your passbook. |
| Processed / Credited / Success | The money has been sent to your account. | Check your passbook or bank SMS. If you can't see it, ask your bank. |
| Rejected | The bank returned the payment, usually because of an account or Aadhaar problem. | Check the reasons below, get it fixed, and tell the panchayat or block so the money is sent again. |
| Aadhaar not mapped / Inactive Aadhaar (NPCI) | Your Aadhaar is not linked (mapped) to a bank account for payments. | Ask your bank to do Aadhaar seeding and NPCI mapping. |
| Account closed / Account frozen / Dormant | The account is closed, frozen, or has not been used for a long time. | Get the account reactivated at the bank, or register a new account with the panchayat. |
| Invalid account / Invalid IFSC | The account number or IFSC in the records is wrong. | Ask the panchayat or Rozgar Sahayak to correct the bank details on your job card. |
| Wage list not generated | The muster roll or work measurement is not finished yet, so the payment list has not been made. | Ask the panchayat when the measurement will be done. |
| P / A / N (muster roll) | In the muster roll, P = present, A = absent, N = no work given that day. | If you were marked A by mistake, speak to the mate or Rozgar Sahayak straight away. |
| * (job card list) | An asterisk (*) next to a name in the job card list means the card has been deleted. | Ask the gram panchayat why, and apply again if needed. |
Status wording on the portal may differ slightly. Confirm with your Gram Panchayat or block office.
Common reasons for delay
- Measurement of the work is still pending.
- The bank account is inactive or not linked correctly with Aadhaar.
- The name on the account differs from the name on the job card.
- The FTO was rejected by the bank and is waiting to be regenerated.
Wages should normally be paid within 15 days of the muster roll closing. If yours are late, read When will my NREGA money come? and take it up with the programme officer.
